i.LEVEL sponsors The Production Lounge

We’re delighted to announce that we are sponsoring The Production Lounge, an event held in London to discuss, amongst other things, the pros and cons of producing in the UK compared with offshore production and how to decide which option is best for your fashion brand.

The event is being held at GCU London Campus, 40 Fashion Street, London, E1 6PX on Thursday 3rd March 2016 between 6pm – 8pm. Nearest tubes are Aldgate East, Liverpool Street and Whitechapel (all within walking distance). Cost: £20 or free to Fashion Angel’s Business Club Members.

Organisers of the evening are the well-respected Fashion Angel, a fashion industry support service offering business mentoring, events and access to funding to fashion start-ups and established fashion business entrepreneurs.

Its Fashion Business Club gives its members free access to online resources including Design Create Sell – a guide to starting and running a successful fashion business, a free supplier’s directory, as well as discounts on mentoring, workshops and carefully selected partner offers.

As the UK’s leading clothing stock control system and fashion concessions software, we have agreed with Fashion Angel to become one of their selected partners. What offer are we providing to its members? That would be telling! Suffice to say, our offer is open to all of Fashion Angel’s Business Club members.

We are particularly pleased to be involved with Fashion Angel, not least because of its reputation in UK fashion. The organisation is often asked by prestige organisations to deliver their creative industry programmes. Clients include the Fashion and Textile Museum, British Library, UKFT, UKTI, Enterprise Nation, The Creative Hub and many higher education providers. As a resource for budding and aspiring fashion designers, it has few peers.

As we’ve often mentioned in our blogs down the years, as veterans of the UK and wider European fashion industry, we are passionate about young fashion brands as well as established labels. After all, the health and creativity of the fashion industry is dependent as much on the vibrancy and creative energy of young people coming through as anything else.

We don’t just pay lip service to this ethos either. A number of our fashion software clients are young fashion brands with a handful of staff or even less. Indeed, it’s not been unknown for us to install our fashion stock inventory solution on a single laptop in a designer’s kitchen! OK, that’s maybe an exception, but it’s a point we want to drive home.

That’s why we’re extremely pleased to be sponsoring Fashion Angel’s Production Lounge on Thursday 3rd March. We’ll also be saying a few words or two about our fashion stock inventory solution and why it’s so valuable for start-up fashion brands and aspiring fashion designers.
